For the combination of a roller shutter end bar (11) with a seal (21) sealing the outlet slot in the roller shutter box, it is proposed to provide undercut recesses (117, 118) in the armour surfaces (112, 113) of the bar (11), in which recesses engage hammerhead-like projections (e.g. 217) at the end of inwardly bent edge parts (214, 216), which form the sealing surfaces, of wall parts (212, 213), which originate in a diverging manner from the bottom (211), of the seal (21) which surrounds the bar (11) in the manner of a cuff. <IMAGE>
