PURPOSE:To improve controlling characteristic, by setting signal from a speed sensor for detecting the shifting speed of an optical head, as feedback signal in servo system. CONSTITUTION:A linear motor apparatus 2 is organized with a carriage 3 for mounting an optical head 1 for reproducing the record of the information of an optically magnetic disc, a linear motor 4 for driving the carriage 3 to reciprocate in the directions of arrow heads X, a speed sensor 5 for detecting the shifting speed of the carriage 3, and the servo system for controlling the positioning of the optical head 1. The speed sensor 5 is organized with a short coil type moving coil 12, a yoke 13 as a stator, and a center pole 14. The shifting speed signal of the carriage 3 for output from the speed sensor is directed to the servo system for input as speed feedback signal. |
