The invention relates to the elastic mounting of an electrical spindle of a textile machine for working speeds above 70,000 min<-1>. According to the invention, the electrical spindle is elastically mounted as a subassembly in the frame of the machine by means of elastic elements, and at the same time the outer bearing rings, in which the shaft, together with a pressed-on spinning rotor, is mounted, are mounted in the front cover and/or in the body of the electrical spindle by means of elastic rings in the form of a metal ring which is provided with outer and inner radial projections arranged offset relative to one another by half the angular division over the circumference. The outer surface of the outer projections and the inner surface of the inner projections take the form of a cylindrical surface of revolution or part of the outer surface of a polygonal prism. The elastic mounting of the electrical spindle can advantageously be used for the fine-spinning machine spindles working at high speed. <IMAGE>
