In the case of a rotation-speed controller for electrical machines, in the case of which a triac (which is driven by an integrated chip in the sense of a phase-gating controller) is connected in series with the connections of the electric motor, it is proposed to bring an electrical circuit element which has a specific temperature response into a directly heat-conducting connection with respect to the housing of the integrated circuit, the connections of the electrical circuit element then being connected to further circuit components of the outer circuitry of the integrated circuit, or directly to its inputs, in such a manner that rotation-speed changes resulting from heating of the integrated circuit are compensated for by the opposing temperature response of the circuit element which is connected to the integrated circuit in a heat-conducting manner.
