PURPOSE:To use respective die for its full life, to reduce the die cost and to prolong the integral die life by fastening with a wedge by assembling the plural divided insert dies having a piece of die respectively on a forging base die. CONSTITUTION:The divided insert dies 3a, 3b having a piece of die 5d, 5e respectively on a forging base die 2 are assembled and fastened with wedge 4. The respective insert die 3a, 3b can be used for its full life and the die cost is reduced and integral die life is extended. In case of interposing a key 6, etc. between the insert die 3a, 3b a compression tool face 9 becomes flat without any step difference to prevent the crack, etc. of the insert die and to make the forging finish better.
