PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of dies and to prevent the generation of a flash by machining both planes of the master die to a flat shape and mounting a die body having a cavity part in tight contact with the plate-shaped mounting surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A die casting machine B has a stationary platen b1 and a movable platen b2 and the die body A is constituted of the combination consisting of the master die a1 and die body a2 provided with the cavity part which are disposed to face each other. Both surfaces of other master die a1 are machined to the flat shape and the plate-shaped one side face thereof is used as a die mounting part 1a. A set hole for mounting the die body 2 is provided to the mounting surface 1 and the die body 2 is combined with and mounted to the die mounting surface 1 in tight contact therewith on the basis of the hole. The need for the operation of fitting the die body 2 into the recess is eliminated by the above-mentioned method and the cost of the die is reduced. The generation of the flash is prevented by the tight contact die mating.
