PURPOSE:To grasp the slurry deposited condition by operating remotely the sonar, transmitting the sound wave or the ultrasonic wave into the pipe and receiving the reflecting wave. CONSTITUTION:At a monorail 3 laid along a pipe 1, a slurry deposited condition inspecting device 4 is shiftably arranged. A sound wave or an ultrasonic wave (a) is transmitted from a transmitter 7, and a reflecting wave (b) from the surface of the pipe 1 of the transmitting wave, a reflecting wave (c) from the slurry surface and a reflecting wave (d) from the lower surface of the pipe 1 are received by a receiver 8. The data received by the receiver 8 are recorded to a recording device provided at the control device. Based upon the data obtained by such an operation, the slurry deposited condition is grasped. For example, the slurry deposited condition can be known from the action of the second reflecting wave (c).
