<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation of a transfer device and the drawing-out operation of a large-sized unit by driving a supporting device associatively with the attaching/detaching operation of the unit and moving the transfer device to an operation position or stand-by position. CONSTITUTION:Lamps 8 and 11 are fixed at distance from the unit 4 when mounted, but the transfer device 10 and a guide plate 54 are close to the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 and disturbs the attachment and detachment of the unit 4. The transfer device 10 and guide plate 54 below it are fixed to a frame body 20 which pivots on a fulcrum 21, so that they leave and contact the photosensitive drum according to the pivoting of the frame body. The frame body 20, on the other hand, is so energized by a spring 61 to rotate counterclockwise and a part of it abuts on a stopper 62 fixed to the device body to stop further rotation, thereby positioning the transfer device at the best position for the photosensitive drum. Therefore, the unit is only drawn out so that only the replenishing port of a developing device is drawn-out from the device body.</p> |
