<p>A reversible plough has a plough beam (8) connected to the reversing spindle (6) by a main link (7) which is inextensible and carries the majority of the bending, torsion and draft loads. A slide mechanism (11) is provided between the forward part of the plough beam (8) and the spindle (6) and is constructed such that the plough beam may be shifted laterally to adjust the front furrow width without any rotation which would alter the pulling position of the plough. The slide mechanism may provide a curved sliding surface (62).</p> |
