摘要 PURPOSE:To keep off any influence of chips, coolant solutions and air fluctuation as well as to make a highly accurate in-process evaluable, by installing an optical system in a machining device capable of evaluating a cutting surface of an aluminum base plate of the like optically with the in-process at a position part from a cutting point. CONSTITUTION:This machining device is additionally provided with a function automatically setting a tool angle so as to measure a cutting surface optically in an in-process way and, on the basis of this information, to make such cutting as minimizing the surface roughness of the cutting surface. That is to say, an auxiliary table 50 is installed on top of a main table 6, on which an optical system of a monochromatic light source 20, a light detector 21, etc., is set up. This auxiliary table 50 is connected to the main table 6 via a wire 51 and a pulley 52. Therefore, when the main table 6 moves to the right and starts cutting, the auxiliary table 50 comes to move to the left at equal speed with movement of the main table, so that the optical system is made possible to do in-process measurement of a surface of a magnetic disc aluminum base plate just after being cut.
