PURPOSE:To provide a column having extremely high resolving power by packing hydroxy apatite at high density into the column. CONSTITUTION:This column is packed with the hydroxy apatite HAp at high density of >=0.5g/cm<3>. The sharp sepn. in a high-speed liquid chromatography HPLC cannot be realized if the density is below 0.5g/cm<3>. The HAp used here has preferably <=50m<2>/g specific surface area and a columnar crystal. The columnar crystal is exemplified by a hexagonal or circular cylindrical crystal.
