PURPOSE:A water-insoluble substance containing glycol ether is applied to synthetic fibers and the fibers are drawn to effect instant adhesion of the water- insoluble substance onto the synthetic fibers. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing, as an active component, a water- insoluble substance containing glycol ethers of formula I (R is glycol ether of the formula II (R is alkyl, allyl, or phenyl; R' is H, alkyl, allyl or phenyl; R'' is H or methyl, n is integer more than 1); is water-insoluble substance] such as dye, water-repellent, hot-melt resin is applied to undrawn or semi-drawn synthetic fibers and the synthetic fibers are drawn in the air, in cold water or in hot water. |
