PURPOSE:The filaments is formed with a fiber-reinforced composite that is composed of reinforcing fibers which are embedded in the matrix of light metal and of a solid lubricant which is held by the reinforcing fibers, thus minimizing slide resistance of the traveller and reducing abrasion wear of traveller. CONSTITUTION:A ring for spinning frame 1 is composed of the flange 2 which has the bulge on the top toward both inside and outside and the lower half which is fitted to the ring rail 5. The flange 2 is made of a composite reinforced with alumina silica whiskers and containing a solid lubricant of molybdenum disulfide. The composite material is formed by mixing alumina silica whiskers and molybdenum disulfide in a liquid to form a slurry, casting the slurry into a mold, molding it by suction or compression, drying it, setting in the cavity and casting the aluminum alloy melt therein. |
