PURPOSE:To obtain a one-component epoxy resin composition of low viscosity and excellent storage stability, by mixing a normally liquid epoxy resin with fine solid acid anhydride particles. CONSTITUTION:A normally liquid epoxy resin is mixed with fine solid acid anhydride particles to obtain an epoxy resin composition. The acid anhydrides used may be those which are not compatible with the liquid epoxy resin at normal temperature and are exemplified by trimellitic ester anhydrides of formula I (wherein R is an alcohol residue and n is 2-4). Said trimellitic acid ester anhydride can be obtained, for example, from trimellitic anhydride and a polyol having 2-4 hydroxyl groups in the molecule. The media in which the acid anhydride is dispersed include suitably a member selected from medium of formula III (wherein R<1> and R<2> are each a 1-8C alkyl, R<3> is H or a 1-4C alkyl, R<3> is H or a 1-4C alkyl and n is 1-20) or a mixture thereof.
