PURPOSE:To prevent a compressor from repeating starting and stopping the operation within a short period of time by delaying the operation of the compressor for a predetermined time when the runaway of a microcomputer is detected and the normal operation is automatically resumed. CONSTITUTION:When a microcomputer runaway detection circuit 2 detects the runaway by runaway detection signal 7 output from the microcomputer 1, the circuit 2 actuates a timer and causes the microcomputer 1 to resume the normal operation by a microcomputer reset circuit 4. On the other hand, by a signal output from the timer after lapse of a predetermined time, a compressor operation permitting signal 9 is output from a compressor operation processing circuit 10 to operate the compressor 5. According to the above procedure, the operation of the compressor is resumed after lapse of a predetermined time from the time the when normal operation of the microcomputer was resumed. Hence, the compressor can be protected when the microcomputer runs away.
