PURPOSE:To achieve a higher productivity and quality, by detecting pinholes continuously simultaneously with the extrusion molding of a plastic tubular body. CONSTITUTION:A metal wire 13 is delivered from a drum 11 and passed through an extrusion molding machine 20 to form a plastic tubular body 21 thereon. The tubular body 21 thus extrusion molded is passed through a power-imposed case A with numerous chain electrodes 18 hung therefrom to be wound with a winder. Then, when any pinhole exists in the process of molding the tubular body 21, a discharge causes an instantaneous current increase with a drop in the voltage as it passes through the power-imposed case A. Thus, checking this condition with a pinhole detector section 22 enable the detection of the pinhole, thereby improving the productivity and quality. |
