PURPOSE:To keep the reliability of the titled equipment for a long time and to facilitate the maintenance of a recording mechanism by forming the recording device except a heat sensing head as a unit and arranging the unit so as to be made drawable from the enclosure of the equipment. CONSTITUTION:The equipment enclosure 1 is constituted while being divided into an upper case 1a and a lower case 1b, the upper case 1a is provided with an original platen 4, a paper feeding roller 5, a platen roller 6, a carrying roller 7, and each element of a read device of a drive means for the rollers 5-7, and the lower case 1b is provided with a heat sensing head 21, and an upper plate 27a of a guide plate 27. Further, a unit case 81 is provided and drawn out of the lower case 1b. The maintenance or troubleshooting in the read device and the maintenance of the heat sensing head 21 are conducted by opening the upper case 1a, and the loading of roll recording paper 31 and the troubleshooting and maintenance of the recording mechanism are conducted by drawing the unit case 81 out of the lower case 1b.
