PURPOSE:To only transmit once picture information of an original so as to allow a facsimile equipment at the reception side to output the number of outputs designated at the transmission side by outputting the received original numbers designated by a facsimile equipment at the transmission side. CONSTITUTION:A control section 10 reads the picture information of the transmission original stored in a storage section 6 and the information representing the outputted number and a transmission section 4 sends them to a destination facsimile equipment. The picture information of the received original and the information of the number of outputs are stored in the storage section 6. When all the picture information is stored in the storage section 6, the control section 10 sends a signal to an outputted number measuring device 8 to initialize it, a signal is sent to the storage section 6 to read the outputted number, which is stored in a comparator 9. The signal is sent to the storage section 6 and the output section 7 to start the output of received picture information. The control section section 10 sends a signal to the comparator 9 to compare the outputted number measured by the outputted number measuring device 8 and outputted so far with the outputted number designated by the facsimile equipment at the transmission side.
