PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in oil resistance, by mixing an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer with a linear polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) or/and ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer (EEA) with 5-120, preferably 20-80pts.wt. linear polyethylene. This composition may further contain, if necessary, other additives such as a flame retardant, antioxi dant, inorganic filler, crosslinking agent and crosslinking aid. As EVA used, one having a vinyl acetate content of below 20wt% and a melt index of about 0.2-5 is desirable. As said EEA one having an ethyl acrylate content <=20wt% and a melt index of about 0.2-1.0 is desirable.
