PURPOSE:To improve power conversion efficiency by using a current transformer in a circuit for intermittently applying a DC voltage to the primary winding of a transformer and employing a circuit for preventing an abnormal oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A DC voltage is intermittently applied by a current transformer drive circuit 1 to the primary winding N1 of a transformer 3. The drive circuit 1 supplies a current to superpose on a current from a positively feedback winding N2 supplied to the base of a transistor Tr2. A transistor Tr1, a resistor R2 and a capacitor C3 in the drive circuit 1 prevent an abnormal oscillation if the power source voltage Ein decreases.
