PURPOSE:To prevent the receiving of the influence of noise and to decrease the load of the shifting body by providing a light image forming body, a photoelectric converting element, a photodetecting element, etc., and executing the transferring of the signal to the fixed signal processing circuit by means of the light. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original 5 is scanned by a shifting body 7, formed to an optical sensor part of a photoelectric converting element 10 by an optical image forming body 9 and converted to the electric signal. The signal is converted to the optical signal by a light emitting element 11, trans ferred to a photodetecting element 17 on a signal processing circuit 19 and processed at the circuit 19 as the electric signal again. The control electric signal from the circuit 10 to the element 10 is converted by a light emitting element 18 to the optical signal and transferred to a phototdetecting element 12. The signal is converted to the electric signal by the element 12, and the element 10 is controlled. Thus, by providing the element 10, etc., and transferring the signal to the fixed signal processing circuit 19 by means of the light, the load of the shifting body 7 can be decreased without receiving the influence of the noise.
