PURPOSE:To organize a data signal at one place by providing a data memory for reception at the front of the data memory for printing, reorganizing printing data to a data constitution that is requested by a printing head unit and constituting to print the data by transferring the data to the data memory for printing. CONSTITUTION:For the first, a shift register 36 is selected and a printing data Sda that is converted in parallel is indicated by the output Sba of a counter 10a and is written to the address position of a receiving data memory 8a that is shown as a write table output Sca of a ROM 9a. And the counter 10a is incremented by a control part 15 to write the following data and also, the write table output Sca of the ROM 9a is incremented and the next write position of the receiving data memory 8a is indicated. Thus, a printing signal Sa from a host computer that is received at the receiving data memory 8a is read out so as to correspond with the row of the element of every printing head unit and is written to a corresponding printing data memory 13.
