PURPOSE:To improve remarkably drying efficiency of laver and drying finish thereof, by eliminating wasteful release of waste gas from the upper part of a drying chamber, and removing moisture in the waste gas in a process for utilizing secondarily the remaining heat of the waste gas. CONSTITUTION:A laver dryer capable of drying laver (m) of each laver screen 4 spread therewith by suppling warm air from a heat exchange chamber 5 provided on one side of a drying chamber 1 while conveying the laver screen 4 along a conveying path 2 provided in the drying chamber 1. In the laver dryer, a shielding member (1a) is provided on the top of the drying chamber 1, and partition members 10 for dividing the drying chamber 1 into the upper and lower laver screen conveying spaces (A) and (B) are provided. A return flow duct 16 having the top thereof communicating to the drying chamber 1 is provided on the other side of the chamber 1. Blowers 18 are installed in the duct 16, and a heat exchanger 21 is provided at the bottom of the duct 16, which is communicated through an air path 13 provided at the bottom of the chamber 1 to the heat exchange chamber 5. Thus, the drying efficiency of the laver (m) and drying finish thereof can be remarkably improved.
