PURPOSE:To obtain an expanded clear picture display by adopting a 1:1 interlace scanning system, forming an EVEN and ODD field, and scanning the same video signal for a channel by the overlapped plural carrier scanning lines. CONSTITUTION:By a multivibrator 83, the timing between EVEN and ODD synchronizing signals is matched, a 1:1 interlace scanning system is formed and synchronizing signals 81 and 82 are inputted to a counter 91. The counter 91, for example, counts the EVEN synchronizing signal for four pieces, and when 525 pieces are counted, next, the ODD synchronizing signal is counted for four pieces in the same manner and outputted to a data selector circuit 92. The data selector circuit 92 synchronizes with the inputted EVEN and ODD synchronizing signal, generates two scanning lines and overlaps and outputs the same video signal to two scanning lines. Thus, by scanning two scanning lines (a) and (b) having the same video signal at the EVEN and ODD, the screen can be expanded and the clear picture can be obtained.
