PURPOSE:To shorten the measuring time of coverage by cleaning contents of a coverage measuring memory when a target CPU passes an address of this memory and not interrupting the operation of the target CPU when it passes the same address at the second and following times. CONSTITUTION:A target CPU 1 is driven in the simulation system by a host CPU, and contents of a trace memory 6 are checked to discriminate branch due to disaccord or coincidence of conditions. The execution address executed by the CPU 1 is detected by an execution address detecting circuit 2, and an address in the memory space of a coverage measuring address memory 4 is located in accordance with the memory space of the CPU 1 by an address converter 3. Data of the address of a branch point of a program is set prelimi narily to the memory 4, and the coincidence between this address and the address from the converter 3 is detected by an address coincidence detector 5. The operation of the CPU 1 is not interrupted when the CPU 1 passes the same address of the memory 4 at the second and following times, thus shorten ing the measuring time of coverage. |
