DETECTOR FOR POSITION OF PIECE OF CORRUGATED CARDBOARD PAPER FOR MAKING BOX

PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of inclination of a piece of corrugated cardboard paper simply with high accuracy by arranging the optical fiber groups at right angles to the moving direction of the piece of corrugated cardboard paper and detecting a change of the quantity of reflected light photodetected by the fiber groups. CONSTITUTION:A groove 6 is provided in a right-angled direction to the moving direction of the piece of corrugated cardboard paper 3 on a table 4. The optical fiber group 8 for irradiating light and the optical fiber group 9 for photodetecting are laid in parallel under the groove 6 respectively. Then, the other end of the fiber group 8 is connected with a light source 12 for irradiating light and the other end of the fiber group 9 is connected with a photodetector 13. Then, when the piece of paper is moved in an inclined state, the output of the photodetector 13 has a time change of an inclination. An arithmetic unit 15 calculates this inclination and further, calculates the inclination of the piece of paper 3 from information of the moving velocity obtained from a velocity detector 14. The quantity of inclination of the piece of paper 3 is calculated from information calculated in this way. The quantity of inclination at the time when the piece of paper 3 is moving is detected simply with good accuracy by a detector constituted in this way.
