PURPOSE:To use commonly the driving source of the indicator of an original scale as the driving source of the original scale, by actuating the rotating means of the original scale by mean of the indicator. CONSTITUTION:When a drive roller is actuated and a belt is run and, as a result, an original is carried on the surface of glass 31, the motor 44 of an original scale 32 is actuated and a belt 41 is run in the direction shown by the arrow (a). Accordingly, a pair of (x) scales 39 are moved in the extent of Xmas. Then a cam pin 46 is moved to the inner side of the original scale 32 by means of the force of a spring and the original scale 32 is rotated counter- clockwise around a pin body 45 and raised by the force of a spring 49 as the cam pin 46 moves. The scale 32 is stopped at a position at which the scale 32 is projected by a part h1 from the the surface of original glass 31. When the original scale 32 is projected in such a way, the original G carried by a carrying unit is brought into contact with the original scale 32 and stopped at a prescribed position.
