PURPOSE:To dispose excessive parts of optical fiber codes under a condition where the codes are not congested with each other and do not become tangled, by providing a reel-like excessive length disposing member which can be rotated freely in addition to winding and rewinding operations. CONSTITUTION:An optical connector 29 connected with an optical fiber code 28 is inserted into an optical connector adaptor 27 and the code 28 is wound around the stepped section 1a of the discoid bearing section 1 of the excessive length disposing member of this invention. The excessive length disposing member is fixed by contacting the bottom surface section of the flat plate 2 of the member with the bottom surface section of a fitting plate 26. When the optical fiber code 28 wound around the stepped section 1 is rewound, the member is rotated counterclockwise through a rotating shaft 4 and stopped at a prescribed position (shown by the alternate long and short dash line) by means of a stopper 25. Under this condition, the optical connector 29 can be removed from the optical connector adaptor 27 and the optical fiber code 28 can be rewound from the stepped section 1a.
