摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the monolayer electrode serving to a white reflectance film and having a relatively high resistance by using an Al alloy contg. 5-15wt.% Cr to an electrode for heating. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 2 for heating is formed on a surface of a glass substrate 1. The transparent electrode 5 is provided on an another surface of the glass substrate 6 facing to the glass substrate 1. The liquid crystal layer 4 having a smectic phase is inserted between the electrode 2 for heating and the transparent electrode 5 through an orientation film. The cross point of the electrode 2 for heating and the transparent 5 forms a picture element. The Al alloy added 5-15wt.% Cr to Al, is used to the electrode 2 for heating serving to the white reflectance film. The titled apparatus having >=0.5mum thick ness of a film, 0.1-1OMEGA/square sheet resistivity and >=50% diffuse reflectance.
