PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive film having practicable high sensitivity characteristics by incorporating an azo compd. having at least one kind of azo group combined with a specified coupler residue. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body contains the azo compd. having in the molecule at least one, preferably, 2 or 3 kinds of azo groups combined with the coupler residue represented by the formula shown on the right in which at least one combination of R1 and R2, R2 and R3, R3 and R4, R4 and R5, R5 and R6, R6 and R7 forms an optionally substd. hetero or hydrocarbon ring, and the rest of them nonparticipating in such ring formation are each H, halogen, or a monovalent org. group, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to have superior sensitivity and durability, and to have superior characteristics in the heat, moisture, and light fading resistance which have so far been problems in inorganic photosensitive bodies and they hare been solved by this invention. |
