<p>PURPOSE:To attain cursor designation without noticing the mode by applying display control of a cursor from the result that the characteristic quantity of the 1st stroke inputted at first in a character frame is compared with a prescribed threshold value. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate is inputted to a block 4 by allowing a stylus pen 2 to trace on a coordinate input device 1 on a display device 3. The inputted coordinate is subject to area discrimination by a block 5 and when the value is within a prescribed area, stroke information is extracted by a block 6, and its characteristic quantity is compared with a prescribed threshold value. In case of the normal stroke length, it is discriminated as a character input and the character is recognized in ab lock 7 and when the input character is decided, it is given to a display device 10, and if the stroke length is shorter than a prescribed value, it is discriminated as cursor designation, cursor control is applied by a block 8 and the cursor is displayed on the place.</p> |
