PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive Cu alloy having superior electric conductivity and a low resistance temp. coefft. by adding Al or Sn to deoxidized Cu and regulating the P content to an industrially attainable range. CONSTITUTION:This Cu alloy consists of 0.005-0.035wt% P, 0.1-0.4wt% Al and/or Sn and the balance Cu with impurities. Predeoxidation with Mg or B is effective in regulating the P content to the narrow range, but the amount of Mg or B remaining as an impurity is required to be restricted to <about 0.02wt%. The Cu alloy has high electric conductivity and a low resistance temp. coefft. and has a very significant effect as a material for electric conduction.
