摘要 PURPOSE:To keep a feeling of favorable acceleration, by controlling the engagement of a lockup clutch in relation to a car speed and suction throttle opening. CONSTITUTION:A governor valve 174 is connected to a port 408 of a lockup signal valve 406 while a down-shift plug 154 to a port 454, and a 3-4 shift valve 286 to each of ports 410 and 412, respectively, whereby the engagement of a lockup clutch 400 is controlled in relation to a car speed and suction throttle opening. With this constitution, in the case where the suction throttle opening is large enough, the car speed is increased, and the lockup clutch 400 is engaged after a torque ratio A comes to a value approximate to 1 so that any drop in driving force at the time of engagement of the lockup clutch 400 is prevented from occurring, thus a feeling of favorable acceleration is keepable.
