PURPOSE:To obtain the title apparatus reduced in pressure loss, having long life and hard to generate clogging, by combining a corrugated filter material with a flat filter material so that ridge parts and bottom parts of the corrugated filter material are respectively brought into spot contact with the flat filter material respectively at constant intervals. CONSTITUTION:An air filter 10 is formed into a honeycomb shape by alternately laminating flat filter materials 11 and a corrugated filter material 12 both of which comprise filter cloth made of a glass fiber. The corrugated filter material 12 has ridge parts H and bottom parts L and each ridge part H has a plurality of apexes 13 formed so as to be mutually separated at definite intervals and brought into spot contact with the upper flat filter material 11 and V-shaped inclined surfaces 14 formed between the adjacent apexes 13. Each bottom part L similarly has bottom parts 15 brought into spot contact with the flat filter material 11 and inverted V-shaped inclined surfaces 16. The ridge parts H are filled with a seal material 17 such as an epoxy resin at air inflow ports thereof and the bottom parts L are filled with the same seal material 18 at the air outflow ports thereof. Therefore, discontinuous inclined surfaces 19 are formed between the ridge parts H and the bottom parts L and an available filtering area is substantially enlarged.
