PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of a packing and facilitate the maintenance and inspection of the packing by a structure wherein the packing is provided on the inner diameter of a mold clamping cylinder so as to improve the surface roughness of the outer diameter of a mold clamping ram and at the same time the disassembling and drawing-out of a mold opening and closing piston and of a mold opening and closing cylinder is made easy. CONSTITUTION:In the direct pressure type mold clamping device of an injection molder, the opening and closing and clamping of a mold of which is done by shifting a movable platen 46 guided by tie bars 44, which connect a mold mounting platen 40 with a fixed platen 42 provided at a mold clamping cylinder 48, with respect to the fixed platen 42, a packing 52 is provided on the inner diameter side of the mold clamping cylinder 48 and, on the other hand, the surface roughness of the outer diametral part of a mold clamping ram 50 is improved by plating or the like in order to prolong the service life of the packing. At the same time, a piston rod 58 is threadingly attached to the movable platen and the securing part 54a of a mold opening and closing cylinder 54 is threadingly attached to the cylinder 48 so that the mold clamping ram 50 and the mold opening and closing cylinder 53 are constituted to be easily drawn out, resulting in facilitating the replacement of the packing. In addition, the damage of the packing 52 can be easily found out by the outward leakage of oil. |
