PURPOSE:To enhance the running stability of a vehicle during cornering, by enabling the brake force of a vehicle during cornering to be controlled to a limited value which maintains a cornering force and which does not injures the control stability of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Output signals 1, 2 from a longitudinal acceleration sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor, output signals WF, WR from load sensors which detect front and rear loads during cornering, and brake hydraulic pressures PF, PR from hydraulic pressure sensors are delivered to an A/D converter 13 through amplifiers 7-12. An output from the A/D converter 13, a brake signal 15 and a steering angle signal 14 are delivered to a CPU 16 which carries out computation in accordance with an appropriate brake force stored in a ROM, and therefore, appropriate braking force signals 18, 19 are transmitted to a brake hydraulic regulating valve. |
