The present invention relates to the assembly of wooden elements. It relates in particular to a device for assembling industrialised girders consisting of a series of wooden beams joined together by metal claw plates 26, pushed into the neighbouring beams, the device being of the type comprising a reception table 19 for the beams 25 to be assembled and a roller press 1 for pushing in the plates 26, which comprises two vertical frameworks 2, 3 between which a set of rollers extends comprising at least one upper roller 6 and a lower roller 5, characterised in that the platform 20 of the said reception table 19 is mounted fixedly and extends between the upper roller 6 and the lower roller 5 of the set of rollers of the press 1 whilst the press 1 is mounted so as to move in a horizontal plane in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the platform 20 of the table 19 and comprises control means for displacing it in one direction or the other. <IMAGE>
