The subject of the present invention is a catalytic combustion device for the atmospheric diffusion of an active product in the gaseous phase, comprising a burner formed by a wick 1 whose upper end is situated in contact with a catalytic pellet 4 and whose lower end is immersed in the reservoir of liquid 5, and an auxiliary annular reservoir or receptacle 8 which contains the active product and is disposed coaxially with the catalytic pellet 4. According to the invention, the annular auxiliary reservoir 8 is closed at its upper part by a wall 9 provided with openings 10 and is covered by a pivoting lid 12 which is also provided with openings 13, these latter openings may, by pivoting the lid 12, be brought opposite the openings 10 in the upper wall of the reservoir 8 or into a position which is angularly offset with respect to these openings. <IMAGE>
