PURPOSE:To select optionally the range of coupling temperature of a coupled thermometer corresponding to the range of temperature to be measured by setting the range of variation in the coupling temperature 1/n time as wide as the range of temperature to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The coupled thermometer is composed of a thermocouple 1 with contacts 1a and 1b, a bimetal thermometer 2 consisting of a bimetal 2a, a pointer 2b, a pointer shaft 2c and a scale plate 2d, a metallic protection pipe 3, a heater 4, a heat insulator 5, a controller 6 and a power source 7. Then, the contact 1a is placed at a specific place where a temperature is measured, the contact 1b and bimetal 2a are arranged in the metallic protection pipe 3 and the range of variation in the coupling temperature in the metallic protection pipe 3 is set 1/n time as wide as the range of variation in the measured temperature of the contact 1a. Consequently, the range of coupling temperature corresponding to the range of the temperature to be measured is selected optionally and the coupled thermometer which is extremely convenient in terms of practical use is obtained. |
