PURPOSE:To accurately adjust convergence to signals different in specifications by detecting a reference horizontal scanning signal that is positioned at the center of flyback time, and controlling various kinds of address systems using the detected signal. CONSTITUTION:A reference horizontal scanning signal detecting part 19 detects the reference horizontal scanning signal that is positioned at the center of the flyback time by a signal that is synchronized with a horizontal scanning period. A write address control part 8 and a read address control part 5 etc. are controled by the signal from the detecting part 19 and convergence correction that is corresponded with a horizontal scanning frequency is read out from a one-frame memory 10. Thus, so that the reference horizontal scanning signal is detected to signals that signal specifications such as the horizontal scanning frequency or a horizontal effective period are different from each other and an adjusting point and the addressing of a memory is performed by the signal, the adjusting point and the position of correction volume are always equal on a picture plane and the adjustment of the convergence is accurately performed.
