PURPOSE:To regulate correctly the opening and closing orbit of a rear cover to assure safe and good tape running by forming unitary a pair of right and left tape guides for bridging a tape along the front face opening with a cassette housing in continuation to a pair of the inner wall sides. CONSTITUTION:A pair of guided pins 41 are provided to right and left ends of the rear cover 37. The right and left ends of partition walls 17 integrally formed with the lower half 3 are designed as the pair of right and left inner walls 43. A pair of guide grooves 44 are provided facing to the side of a bottom opening 16. A pin 41 is inserted into a groove 44 and guided along the groove 44 during rotation of a front cover 20. The front opening 15 is covered by a front cover 20. On a bottom side wall 10 of the lower half 3, the partition wall 17, right and left pair of tape guides 18, 19 and the inner wall 43 are formed integrally and in continuation. The space between the inner wall 43 and the outer wall 23 is formed as a pair of right and left tape paths 46 connecting the right and left ends of the opening 15 and the tape reels 7, 8. The tape 9 is passed through the paths 46 and guided by the guides 18, 19 so as to be bridged along the opening 15.
