For producing cast, in particular plastic-bonded explosive charges having a defined geometrical shape at one end, a cover (2) is arranged at the upper end of the charge envelope (1), which cover consists of an outer part (3), which can be fixed to the charge envelope (1) and is provided with overflow orifices (6), and of an inner part (4), the cover (2) having a shape corresponding to the geometrical shape of the charge, when the inner part (4) is pushed into the outer part (3). After filling of the interior of the charge envelope (1), the inner part (4) is then pushed into the outer part (3), whereby the excess of explosive is displaced into the overflow orifices (6). The explosive is then allowed to solidify. If the inner part (4) is a fuse hole bush, this remains in the explosive charge. The same applies to the outer part (3) if it is formed by the final closing cover of the charge. <IMAGE>
