The invention relates to a device for shoe machining. The known extraction installations have various shortcomings, in particular as a result of blockage of ducts and jamming of the shutter slides. The invention eliminates these disadvantages by means of a novel shaping of the front side of the machine which is shouldered in a stepped manner and has funnel-like recesses. The shutter flap is rotatably arranged horizontally under the funnel shaft and opens the extraction shaft by its own weight. By mutual flap arrangement, the inner flap closes as soon as the pumicing flap is opened. As a result, a considerable improvement of the air guide system is achieved. <IMAGE>
