PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanical processing by extracting a simple sentence relation tree of a 2-division tree structure obtained from a simple sentence and the relation between simple sentences based on the information on a surface case structure and a sentence structure tree obtained by supplying the form element data to a Japanese parser. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 is provided together with a main memory 2, a Japanese parser 3, a module 4 for extraction of a simple sentence is supplied through the keyboard 5 and the simple sentence relation tree is displayed on a CRT display device 6. In other words, for extraction processing of a simple sentence relation tree, the relation between declinable words in a surface layer case structure is checked based on a sentence structure analysis tree and the surface layer case structure. Then the declinable words are rearranged in a fixed order for production of a simple sentence relation tree. The input sentence is divided every word by a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) converting system and undergoes the form element processing. This form element data is supplied to the parser 3 to obtain the sentence structure analysis tree and the surface layer case structure. Based on these data, the simple sentence relation tree having a 2-division tree structure obtained from a simple sentence and the relation between simple sentences is extracted.
