Means are provided for warming the feet of bed-ridden patients, comprising open or closed, box-shaped containers provided with supports or foldable brackets for maintenance of their upright position in the patient's bed. The open containers accommodate commercially available hot-water bottles or heating pads and are assigned in parallel to the soles of the bed-ridden patient's feet. The closed containers are provided with the requisite heat by electrical heating devices or hot water and are also assigned in parallel to the feet of the bed-ridden patient. Besides warming the feet of bed-ridden patients, the box-shaped, upright containers are also suitable for performing talipes equinus prophylaxis.
