Device for conveying trousers away from a pressing machine and for subsequently depositing them on a stack, in which two gripper arms (30 and 31), moving obliquely upwards towards one another, clamp the upper part (17) of the trousers between them and pull the trouser legs (14 and 15) of the trousers rearwards and downwards out of the pressing machine (10), transport them sideways and pull them over a stacking device (41), on which the trousers are clamped, whilst the gripper arms (30 and 31) open and, while the gripper (24) moves further, the upper part (17) of the trousers runs over the rotating rear gripper arm (30). <IMAGE>
