The inking unit has individually exchangeable ink application cylinders (16, 17, 18), whose cylinder journals (16a, 17a, 18a) are inserted in rolling bearings (23) whose outer bearing bodies (24) have on their outside two mutually parallel, flat guiding surfaces (25) which are arranged on both sides of the cylinder axis (26) and with which they are lowered with accurate fit into recesses (16b, 17b, 18b), which are open at the top, in the side parts (15) of their cylinder frame, which recesses, in turn, are bounded laterally by corresponding parallel guiding surfaces (16c, 16d; 17c, 17d; 18c, 18d). In relation to the cylinder axis (26), the outer bearing bodies (24) have such a non-symmetrical mass distribution that their centre of gravity lies below the cylinder axis (26) in the installed position. <IMAGE>
