EASILY SPLITTABLE CONJUGATE FILAMENT

Theremoplastic sub-filaments are temporarily adhered side by side along their lengths to form a conjugate filament, the adhesion between the sub-filaments being so light that they separate under no tension upon exposure to boiling water. Pref. the respective sub- filaments are polyamide and polyester, specifically nylon 66 and polyethylene terephthalate. Fabrics need no mechanical working to separate weft yarns comprising conjugate filaments.
