A plug socket (3) is specified which can be injection-moulded onto the end of an electrical connecting lead (1), has an insert (4) consisting of stiff material and has an injection-moulded protective body (11). The insert (4) has projections (9, 10) which project out of the protective body (11) and are used as switching edges. It consists of two sleeves (5, 6) which are connected by means of an intermediate piece (8) and in which contact elements (7) are arranged. The intermediate piece (8) is designed with such a small amount of material that the two sleeves (5, 6) can be moved elastically towards one another. <IMAGE>
