The device serves, in particular, for the spaced-apart fastening of latticework panels, forming a framework around which plants can entwine themselves, on building walls. It comprises a threaded rod (11) which, at the same time, forms the screw of an expanding dowel, projects out of the wall and, at the free end, bears a retaining clip (20) which has cutouts (26, 27) for latticework bars (6; 6'; 6'') at the upper edge. The retaining clip (20) is made by bending a punched blank, can be adjusted on the threaded rod (11) and, by tightening two nuts (24, 25), can be deformed in order to grip the latticework bars (6; 6'; 6'') in a fixed manner. <IMAGE>
